‘A Clockwork Orange’, by English writer Anthony Burgess. A dystopian novel first published in 1962 and set in a near future English society featuring a subculture of extreme youth violence.

Burgess  created a futuristic Russian/English slang language called “Nadsat” which is used by the Violent youths of an hostile future England.
To understand the story, you may need the help of this Nadsat Dictionary.

15 year old Alex narrates his violent exploits and his experiences with the authorities who are intent on reforming him and his gang.  He leads his gang on a night of “ultra-violence“.  Alex’s main friends ,  (or “droogs” in ‘Nadsat’) are Dim, a slow witted bruiser and the gang’s muscle; Georgie, an ambitious second in command; and Pete, who mostly plays along as the droogs indulge their taste for ultra-violence. 

Track 2 is a Bonus track wherein the Author, Anthony Burgess, reads selected passages from A Clockwork Orange.
