Set during WWII Nigel Balchins book about the war efforts by the ‘Back Room Boys’ who were constantly testing and inventing new ideas they hoped would help win the war. It took dedication, brains and occasionally just great courage.

Sammy Rice is called on to solve the mystery of unexploded, booby-trapped, bombs that are scattered after German air raids by Nazi bombers. They lie dormant and then inexplicably explode on human contact.
